Band Bio
The four piece band Eyes Are Blind has been together since 12 November 2007. At that time Esther Bredius joined the band to take up the vocals. Herbert Kaptein (guitar/vocals) and Erwin Nederhoff (drums) had been jamming together in miscellaneous settings in several occasional formations. Nathalie Born-Steens (bass) had been playing in several bands such as D’Arc Daze, Friendly Fire and the band Bornn before she joined EAB in July 2007.

The band meanwhile has established a good live reputation and has played in venues such as EXIT Rotterdam, The Little Cave Zevenkamp, De Kade Zaandam, P60 Amstelveen, Kultuurhuis Bosch Arnhem en from Groningen to Geleen. The band was also hosted in several radio programs and was filmed for the art program Ketel TV broadcasted by TV Rotterdam.

EAB mainly plays own work and has a repertoire of some 20 own compositions. Besides, when playing live covers may be played from bands such as Joy Division, the Church and Siouxsie and the Banshees  The band’s own songs are very musical, accessible and melodic and can be attributed to alternative rock or to eighties new wave topped by a contemporary sauce. The whole array of songs is quite varied incorporating heavy rock, ballads and ethereal songs.

The first CD “Colours” was released on  7 October 2009 on the IYR/Fonos label.
